We share quite a bit more than that, Stefan, not the least of which being this same destination you're heading toward, even as we speak. One which, I might add, you seem to be taking entirely for granted. I didn't have to offer your brother, and the rest of you sorry lot, a nice, safe refuge here in my city, under my protection. I'm doing you a favor, mate, same as I've done many times in the past when you've come calling, demanding for one thing after another from me, be it my blood for some unfortunate werewolf run-in you've had, or some other nonsense. I extended this to all of you based solely on the fact that we are friends. The very least you could do in return is refrain from biting the hand that's trying to feed your ungrateful little mouth. |

I had merely intended to talk to you, to catch up a bit, but seeing as you seem to be in a bit of an obstinate mood, I really don't see the point. It doesn't seem like it'll be going anywhere. If you're really so nervous about what I'm really up to, what sinister plot I'm devising for you and all of your loved ones, why bother coming to New Orleans at all? If that were true, and if I really posed a threat to all of you, believe me, this army of zombies would be the least of your troubles. |

Yes, I agree that it is most likely the safest place from the zombie hoard that could show up on my doorstep any minute, but your doorstep *could* be worse. I agree that you would be a bigger threat to us. You've hurt every one of us in the past. There's nothing we can do against you, but we can't stop these undead creatures either. I don't trust you, but somehow you've turned into the safer option. It is surprising to me, but it is *reasonable* to accept your protection. |

Not that I cared about any of that, even before this inane "apocalypse" started. It's all in the past, now, something most of us have put behind us. However, you don't have to tag along behind Damon. I did extend the invitation to you, but you should bear in mind that I can just as easily revoke that invite to you, in particular. What is the point, after all, if apparently all it's doing is benefiting someone who I don't even have a connection to? |
