Yes, I know, this is everyone's favorite thread to read. 
However, it is necessary and I require that you please read it's entirety and sign before posting anywhere on the site!
Breaking any of these rules will result in a PM warning. If it continues then the individual will be banned for a period of time, the duration of which will be determined by the severity of the offense.
(Site Rules)
1. No spamming: Please post responsibly and refrain from only offering 2 or 3 words at a time, as well as making sure to keep from double posting. Also, don't continuously repeat the same post, if no one responded to the first it's possible that it was simply overlooked. PM that member if you really want to remind someone of an overlooked post.
2. No sexual harassment or overly vulgar references! Keep it PG-13! We need to be mindful of some younger members.
3. Please keep profanity at a minimum and PG-13 rated!
4. No slander: please be respectful of one another. This is very important. This is not the place to tarnish the name of another individual.
5. There is a canon character limit of 4, so as to keep things fair. There is no limit to the number of OC characters you create. You may have as many accounts as you feel you can handle. However, please keep characters reasonably active, or we might have to discuss reducing your character count. This is on a case-by-case basis. Please do not abuse! (You may request multiple characters after you have reached a post count of 25 with your first character!)
6. Do no abuse any privileges!
7. You must read/sign this rule thread, acknowledging that you accept them before submitting an application for a character. You must submit an application and have it approved for any original or canon characters before posting in the RP area and before making any changes to your profile!
8. Please restrict banner size to a maximum of 600X400.
9. No abuse of power! :if you are promoted to a staff position, you may never, under any circumstance assert that power over someone simply for the sake of doing it. Always inflict your punishments legitimately and never at the cause of personal dislike/disagreements. My staff are people I trust and I expect no one to take that trust for granted. If you feel you are being unjustly put down by a staff member, do not hesitate to PM me immediately. I am always willing to listen!
10. There is NO word limit! However, please supply thoughtful enough posts in order to make it easier for others to respond.
(RP Rules)
All of the above apply including:
1. You are restricted to the number of characters you will be able to handle. Please use your best judgment here. I don't want to have to enforce a limit.
2. Inform me of any complex story lines/plots you have planned.
3. You must have a RP character to post in the RP area.
4. If you sign-up for a canon character, please attempt to be somewhat active. If you don't intend to be, leave that character for someone else.
6. I don't want anyone killing off other characters without consent! This must be agreed upon within a story line/plot between two characters. Same thing goes with those characters in possession of compulsion power or any other supernatural ability which directly effects and potentially controls the actions of other characters. Do not abuse unless approved by a member of the staff and whoever else you are involving!
7. If a character dies, they will return as a zombie. You may resurrect them after 72 hours through the use of a witch's one-time 72 hour restart spell. However, your character will have no memory of the last 72 hours, as the spell returns them to the state they were in before they died. This is a suggested method for anyone who is wanting to switch between multiple OC's. OC's are the only characters who can be permanently killed off! All canons must be resurrected and they can only be killed once!
8. If a thread is designated only for specific characters, please do not post unless invited or granted permission to do so.
9. Please take the time to fill out the a profile, tracker and a plotter for each character!
10. You must use 3rd person point of view when posting. (ex. Stefan ran through the forest, starving and on the prowl for his next victim.)
11. Canon portrayals are left to your interpretation, but please try and keep them in-character.
12. Don't control other people's characters. This means no god-modding.
