Niklaus Mikaelson
Friends: Klaus tends to prefer to put himself first, or at least his family, and making friends tends to conflict with this disposition. He is suspicious of everyone and slow to trust, but when someone does manage to gain his trust, he becomes fiercely loyal of them, even at his own expense. He takes great strides to either maintain or reignite old friendships, finding it very difficult to let them go. He keeps himself closed off even to this select group, though, and is wary about showing his more vulnerable side, and this can often cause people to question his feelings about them.
Enemies: Enemies, on the other hand, are something Klaus has in no short supply. He has spent a good thousand years building up numerous adversaries, be it old vampires with a grudge, new foes he formed last week, generations of witches with a vendetta that's been passed down for centuries, or even the many supernatural creatures still trying to haunt him from the Other Side. His worst enemies of all, however, are his parents, both of whom he has killed. Anyone who opposes him, he takes it as a personal affront, and also takes it upon himself to make them suffer in the worst ways he can think up. In fact, he gets pretty creative when deciding their fate.
Lovers: In their human years, Klaus and Elijah both battled for the affections of the lovely Tatia, the envy and desire of everyone in their village. However, she ultimately chose the older Mikaelson, and Klaus was forced to let her go. A few years later, after the transformation to vampirism, he found a dark connection in Aurora de Martel, and they formed a relationship, but this was tarnished when he was led to believe that she had rejected him. After she made it clear why no one could ever love or accept him, he came to distance himself off both from people and the very notion of love. He has had many flings over the years, but it wasn't until a millennium later that he again began to open himself up, when he unexpectedly became attracted to the light he saw in Caroline Forbes. He has promised her that he intends to be her last love, however long it takes, though has left her time to figure out what she wants. After returning to New Orleans, conflicting feelings began to form for the human bartender and psychology grad student, Camille O'Connell, though nothing has come of it yet.
Family: He has a very strained relationship with his family. He killed both his mother and his step-father, and he has been daggering and undaggering all of his siblings for the better part of their undead lives. However, the reason for this is often to keep them from leaving him, or in some manner of protecting them, and most of his actions toward them stem back to prevent one, single fear: being alone. When it comes down to it, he would do anything to protect them, and firmly believes in their promise, "Always and forever", no matter how much he mocks Elijah for it. A one-night stand with Hayley Marshall led to the conception of his daughter, Hope. The two have contradicting views on how to raise the child, but ultimately they are on the same page when it comes to protecting her. His insistent desire to reconnect with his family is stronger than ever now.
