Friends/FAMILY
Valerie doesn't care much about making friends. She's very independent, and relies mainly on the ones she's already made to keep her company. The closest people to her are her family members, though she doesn't open up to them very much about her troubles, worried that she may become a burden to them, or that they might lose their trust for her. She is very secretive with them, but she cares deeply for her loved ones, to the point of making decisions that are in their best interest, even if it could result in their disappointment.
FOES
Valerie doesn't make many enemies, most likely due to the fact that she tends to stay away from people. However, if someone harms her or her kin, she develops a rather vengeful attitude towards them. A consistent enemy of hers is Julian, Lily's lover, whom she resents greatly for the harm he's caused her. She wants to rid all possibility of him being brought back because she's in fear of her family's safety.
LOVERS
Valerie has only ever had one significant other in her time, Stefan Salvatore. Her relationship with him has caused most of the events in her life to occur. The night they met resulted in her becoming pregnant with their child. However, Julian beat the baby to death, and she couldn't stand to face Stefan after the fact. She broke her promise to come back to him, but her feelings for him have remained.
