Essential Information
Personality: R is a very simple individual, as he is only capable of simplistic feelings. He has a very romantic view of the world and values companionship. He also likes to invent lives for his fellow zombies around him, creating intricate stories in his head. His thoughts run very freely, despite the slow motions of his body. He is a deep-thinker, loves irony and has an established 'awareness of self'. He more or less retreats into his fantasies in order to make the day-to-day more interesting for himself. R loves to collect artifacts that he feels sentimental towards, and it is really all he has left of who he was before the zombification. He is also intelligent and clever, making him more formidable to his prey. Ultimately though, he feels aimless and lost, as well as exceedingly lonely.
Family: Despite not being able to remember them, R had a pair of suburban parents (Benny and Diana) and a little sister (Beth).
History: Part I - R had been living a very normal life --he woke up, helped his sister get ready, rode with her on the bus, and had a small circle of friends in High School. He didn't excel in any subjects, made average grades, and was part of the hipster crowd. He had a passion for music, especially in the 80's genre, as well as for creative writing and journalism. He had a pretty good relationship with both his parents, who made sure to go on many family outings to maintain the bond they all shared. He had typical, little quarrels with Beth---she'd sometimes get on his nerves---but he always made sure to look out for her, as he was very protective. When the zombie apocalypse started, R had been at school, and one of the students had gone rabid and started attacking people in the halls. R managed to escape the chaos, but made it home only to find that his mother had become rabid as well. She ended up biting him as he was escaping, and he was struck with fever after discovering that his father had been killed at his job and that his sister was nowhere to be found. He died that evening and woke with no memories at all.
Part II - As a zombie, R mostly wandered and took everything in a sort of haze, though his thoughts were still intact. He remembered nothing of humanity, only observed his current existence with a sort of apathy. He took to collecting many random objects that appealed to him, including vinyls, and explored as much as he was able. When the air began to grow uncomfortably cold in Canada, he meandered onto the storage bay of a plane filled with people who were trying to escape. When R grew hungry, he ended up feasting on them all, and, once the pilots landed, he killed the both of them too. When he found his way off the plane, he discovered that he was in the Baton Rouge, LA airport. He found a massive hoard of his own kind there, and declared it his home.
