There aren't many people left who Silas considers his friends. After spending so much time in complete isolation, save the occasional, weary traveler, he has adopted a detached, uncaring attitude toward just about everyone. Nevertheless, he's quite personable, and finds exploring in people's minds and watching their thought processes to be fascinating. The more complicated, the better. There have been a few people he would qualify as "allies", but that doesn't mean he's loyal to them, nor does he do anything to gain their trust in turn. In fact, he's willing to turn on them at a moment's notice, just as he betrayed his best friend Qetsiyah thousands of years ago. There's almost no line he won't cross if he either loses interest or if he can gain something more easily by doing so. When it comes down to it, he just doesn't care enough about them.

He cares little for people, does not hesitate in taking lives at the briefest whim, and he enjoys using his powers to mess with people and play mind games with them. However, despite the many grudges that others have come to harbor against him, he actually does not hold anything against anyone. He doesn't care enough about them or their opinions for it to affect him, and, if anything, he's amused by the more people who hate him, and he'll purposefully get under their skin to antagonize them further. He doesn't care enough about his "enemies" to even put forth the effort of hating them.

Even though he met her while he was betrothed to another woman, he was never in love with Qetsiyah, and he has never had eyes for anyone else. He would quite literally do anything for her, and everything he has done, it has been with her in mind, from the immortality spell he helped create so they could live together forever, to his desire to destroy the Other Side altogether, in order to reunite with Amara after death. His goal has not changed, and he wants nothing more than to die and be with her once again.
