When it's said and done, I already felt love
Valerie stood in the middle of a pile of corpses, pausing in the onslaught of rain coming down around her. On her journey to follow the Salvatores to New Orleans, she'd just so happened to stumble into an abandoned airport in search of supplies, only to find it was infested with those foul flesh-eating creatures. They were hardly an issue, however, seeing as it was a simple matter of siphoning away the magic cast on them, and return them to their true deceased state. She had managed to gain quite a bit of power in the process, as well.
As the breeze picked up, causing the rain to pour harder around her, she calmed herself to again assess the situation. I'm still quite a ways from New Orleans, aren't I? she mused inwardly as she pulled out a Louisiana map she'd picked up from the airport waiting room, looking at the possible paths she could take to the city. As she noticed the distance, she gave a sigh before shoving the map back into the leather backpack slung across her shoulder. Maybe I should just stay here for the night.
Raising her gaze, she observed her surroundings once again, squinting her eyes slightly to see through the wall of water droplets. She was on an airport runway, away from the main building. Just a bit along the road from her, past the pile of dead bodies, was an old passenger plane, seemingly abandoned. That seems safe enough. And, if any of these walking dead fellows were inside, it would be a simple enough task to clear it out.
Stepping over the poor saps lying around her, she made her way to the flying contraption, her heeled boots tapping softly against the gravel road. After taking one more look at her surroundings, she reached out a gloved hand to unlatch the metal door.
Once inside, Valerie reveled a moment in the slight warmth of the interior before freezing as she caught sight of her surroundings. All along the walls were paintings, pictures and posters, and along the floors were piles of boxes filled with random trinkets and collectibles. It almost looked like a storage shed.
Moving along further into the room, she pulled down her hood, and her ears perked at the sound of music flowing around her. She hadn't noticed upon arrival, but the instruments seemed to have been playing for quite a while already. After looking around a bit, her eyes landed on the source, and she reached out a hand to run her ringers across an old record player. How lovely, she thought to herself with a small smile. As she continued to listen to the sweet tune, the rain tapped lightly against the metal exterior. It was such a pleasant combination of sounds. However, after a moment, she lifted her head with her brows slightly furrowed. But, if there's music playing...someone must be here.
