Over the years, Terry has earned a wide variety of friends for himself, and this is because he is open to befriending all manner of people. Whether they are seen by many in the world as the wisest, most illustrious sort, or the lowest, most imbecilic, whether they are rich beyond measure, or poorer than the dirt beneath their own two feet, Terry is not in the interest of turning any of them away. He would much rather make a friend than an enemy any day, rather liking the idea of having as many people on his side as possible. A give-and-take relationship is ideal with everyone (everyone willing to listen, anyway), and Terry holds firm to his belief that any sane person can be reached on some level. You just have to be willing to put yourself on that level to do it. And having many friends can not only come in handy when push comes to shove, but it makes for a far more interesting, exciting lifestyle, too.

While he has had many enemies in the past (most of whom he chose on the grounds of having wronged him, or having committed vile, inhumane acts that cross a line even in his open perspective of the world and its many gray hues), they are long dead now, or otherwise so far removed, on the run, or perhaps undead themselves, that they cease to matter. No, the only enemies who matter now are the ones he and his brother spend every waking moment in fear of. That senseless, bloodthirsty mass of undead creatures. And when he does find himself coming face-to-face with any one of them, he does everything in his power to kill them before they kill him.

[attr="class","main-content"]
Terry has had a rather tragic run in the past, as far as lovers go. When he was a young man (a teenager, in fact), he fell madly in love with a girl. Teresa Blanchard. After only a few days of knowing each other, they slipped away one night, to Las Vegas, and there they were wed. They spent a few happy weeks together, until his father caught word of what had happened. He tried to force them into a divorce, but Terry would have none of it. That is, not until he learned that Teresa had only married him in the hopes of getting his money. When his father offered her a briefcase filled with cash to make her disappear, she took him up on the offer without a moment's hesitation, and that was the last Terry ever saw of her. For a long time, this deterred him from ever pursuing a real relationship again, and he instead sought the company of escorts and call-girls, convinced that no woman could ever truly love him for him. Many years later, however, one of these very same call-girls, a woman named Sybil, entered his life, and he was in no rush to have her leave it. It wasn't long after meeting her, however, that his father told his son that either he would turn his life around, and cease in his perversions (which meant foreswearing these escorts which had become customary in his day-to-day life), or else he would cut off his trustfund. Not only this, but he made less than subtle threats against the next whore he caught in bed with him. Fearing Sybil's safety, but also too in love to send her away, they decided to keep their affair a secret. She gave up her profession as a call-girl, agreeing to see him exclusively, and he provided for all of her needs and desires. Terry tried many times to end the relationship, to send her away, but she was determined to stay with him, ensuring him time and again that she did not fear the powerful man who was his father. After spending years in this tumultuous relationship, his sister Cassie caught onto them, and knowing that she would go to his father with the information, Terry immediately put forth his best efforts in sending Sybil away for good, going so far as to convince her that he wanted nothing to do with her, and that he had never truly loved her. Some weeks after he had successfully driven her away, however, Terry found her in his father's bed. He never asked her any questions about it. He didn't want to know anything about it. In the end, his relationship with Sybil proved far more devastating than the one from his youth could ever have been. He became entirely disillusioned, no longer believing in the basic foundations of love, and convinced that he will never find it. Either something is wrong with love, or with him, and since others seem to manage just fine with it, he is convined that it simply must be him.

[attr="class","main-content"]
The Lyons family has always been a very complicated one. Titus Lyons had high expectations of every one of his children, and none of them could ever quite seem to live up to them. After the death of their mother, brought on during childbirth with Terry, his father and sister resented him. It was a crime which they would never forgive him for, and it came with decades of mistreatment at their hands, a fact which spurned his older brother Nikolaj to come to his aid. He would speak out against both of them any chance he got, always determined to protect his little brother, without any regard for the cost. Nikolaj was the only member of their family who ever showed any care or devotion to him, and Terry loved him unconditionally for it. He tried to love his father and sister, too, of course, and he made many attempts to do so, but they had closed themselves off to him the same day he was born. Out of his three nieces and nephews, he got on with the latter two swimmingly (they were such sweet, kind children, after all, wholly unlike their mother, how could he not?), but the oldest, Jeffrey, was a person Terry himself labeled as a "vicious idiot", and the two seemed to clash every chance they got. In spite of the poor relationships he had with many of his family members, however, Terry did care for them all, in one way or another, and it wasn't easy watching any of them die, or even having to kill some of them himself. Now, only Nikolaj remains, and Terry is quite convinced the loss of him would be the most devastating of all.
